Welcome to our fabulous historic venues
Our historic castles, towers and locations such as Portsmouth Museum, Charles Dickens Birthplace museum and the D-Day Museum offer a range of unique historical venues for weddings, corporate events and other special occasions.
The stunning Southsea Castle, Henry VIII’s fortress, set against the glorious backdrop of the Solent, is one of Portsmouth’s finest wedding venues. Your wedding breakfast and evening reception can all be accommodated with ease within the suberb all year marquee, so your guests can relax from the moment they arrive. Since 2013 the magnificent Portsmouth Museum has been licensed for ceremonies. The ceremony room, the Esther Room, has a magnificent 17th century carved fireplace and is decorated with romantic themed museum pieces. This room can hold up to 60 guests.
The Square Tower, another building with impeccable Tudor credentials, is licenced for wedding ceremonies. Steve Hender, who runs this venue, works closely with staff at Portsmouth Register Office to ensure your wedding runs like a dream. Please visit the Tower's website www.squaretower.co.uk, contact Steve by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07519 505785.
