Readings by the Dickens Fellowship

Hear a series of live readings at the first home of Charles Dickens

Members of the Portsmouth Branch of the worldwide Dickens Fellowship will head to the great author's birthplace for a series of readings throughout summer. They will select favourite passages from the Dickens canon and bring them to life in a series of family-friendly and engaging live readings - all of which start at 3pm.

Tim Suffolk is up first, on Sunday 7 July. He will be followed by Tony Pointon on Sunday 4 August and Julia MacFarlane on Sunday 1 September.

Charles Dickens’ Birthplace

The furniture, ceramics, glass, household objects and decorations faithfully recreated the Regency style which Charles’s parents would have favoured, although their actual possessions have long since been dispersed.
